MISSION
STATEMENT
We,
the parishioners of the Church of the Little Flower in
Berkeley Heights
,
New Jersey
, are a Roman Catholic community of believers in the Lord
Jesus. Inspired by the good news of his Word and empowered
by the grace of his Spirit, we seek to give glory to the
Father through lives of Christian love and by being signs
of his kingdom on earth.
As
a parish, we are called to be a community of prayer and
worship, to be people committed to gospel values and to
devote ourselves to spiritual growth. As a people sent
forth, we witness the presence of Jesus in our lives,
share our gift of faith with others and encourage people
to welcome God's all-forgiving love in their lives.
Conscious
of our own sinfulness and need for forgiveness, we
nonetheless strive to reflect God's love by giving
ourselves to others, by being responsive to those in need
and by being hospitable to all. We rejoice in God's many
gifts to us and acknowledge our personal responsibility to
practice Parish Stewardship by putting God first with our
time, talent and treasure.
