Grades 1st - 7th

Our Mission is to create an environment where families and children feel safe and accompany them on their journey to be closer to Jesus Christ and God.

Our Focus is on our Head, Heart and Hands:

We want your child to have the knowledge of our faith (Head), to strengthen their relationship with God aka Discipleship (Heart) and to serve within our families, our community and beyond (Hands)

Baptismal Certificate

Baptism Certificates are required for children new to the program and for all first graders, unless baptized at Little Flower.  You will be asked to upload a copy of your child's baptismal certificate when you register. If you don't have your child's certificate or cannot upload it, contact the religious formation office at the parish center for help.

Tuition Assistance

No child will be denied due to financial hardship.  In the event the assistance is needed, please notify Religious Formation Coordinator at religiousformation.lf@gmail.com.

Parish Membership

We want your family to be an active part of the Little Flower community. We ask that before you sign up for our program, you are a parishioner of the Church of the Little Flower. Click here to become a parishioner.

How Can I Help?

Glad you asked! Volunteers are always welcome and needed. Contact Religious Formation Coordinator at religiousformation.lf@gmail.com and

Program FAQ's

Program Grades

Little Flower Religious Formation begins in first grade to prepare for First Reconciliation and First Communion in second grade and runs through seventh grade. Confirmation preparation begins in eighth grade. Children make their Confirmation in the fall of ninth grade.

Additional Fees

There is a First Communion Sacramental preparation fee of $185 due at First Communion registration in January to defray the cost of materials and the retreat.

Mass Requirements

Religious Formation families are asked to attend a monthly family Mass. (Schedule here)

These Masses are geared towards families with children in our program.

Attendance

According to Archdiocesan policy, children must attend a certain amount of religious formation hours to move through the program. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Pastor.

Lenten, Advent and End of Year Family Sessions

Families attend three required sessions a year at Advent, Lent and at the end of the Religious Formation year. Other opportunities for families to worship together are available throughout the year, but are not required.

Photo Release

We love to highlight our religious formation families on social media. At registration you can choose to opt in or out of these social media posts. You will fill out the photo release as part of the registration process on Community Pass.

You may also share your photos @littleflowerbh.

What is required to meet the Safe Environment policies if I want to volunteer with minors?

You need to fill out a volunteer application, sign the current Archdiocesan Code of Conduct, have a criminal background check and take a course in child sexual abuse awareness and prevention.  Although the Code of Conduct, application and background check must be completed before you start your service, you have 30 days to take the Protecting God’s Children program. To register for a class, check your status or for questions, contact Dan Grossano, pastoral110.lf@gmail.com.
