Bereavement Ministry
The Bereavement Ministry
Mission Statement: To serve the parish and support individuals and families who grieve the death of a loved one in and through a ministry of prayer, presence and education.
To serve those who have lost a loved one the Bereavement Ministry will:
• Send a sympathy card to the family at the time of death
• Deliver a comfort bag to the bereaved
• Plan the ‘Mass of Remembrance” on All Souls Day November 2nd.
• Plan the “Blue Christmas” prayer service in December.
• Plan the “Loss of a Child” prayer service in May.
• Arrange for a professional counselor to facilitate a twice yearly 7 week group support program. (Ministry members do not participate in the group).
• Arrange special Grief workshops throughout the year as needed

Date: March 10, 2024 | 2 - 3 PM
