Welcome to the Church of the Little Flower!
One of our values as a parish, based on the Gospel, is to be people of hospitality.
Minimally, we would like to get to know you, to know your name.
Maximally, we would like to know you and your story.
Here on these pages, hopefully you will get to know us.
We hope that your experience of us is not only through these digital pages.
Join us at our Sunday Masses. Be an active part of the people of faith here at Little Flower.
We have a lot to offer you.
We hope that you can share your gifts with our parish community and the people we serve both in and out of the parish.
A little about me....
Growing up in the Vailsburg section of Newark, my home parish of the Sacred Heart was a huge part of my growing up years.
I am the first of five children of Andrew and Joan Prachar. I was ordained a priest on November 17, 1990. I am blessed to have been called to be the pastor of the Church of the Little Flower since July 1, 2008. One of my favorite expressions and values is: "It's all about relationship."
When I'm not in the parish, I enjoy the Jersey shore, eating or making good food, traveling, working out and spending time with family and friends.

Do you remember this moment?
Two years ago, Pope Francis gave an Urbi et Orbi blessing for an end to the pandemic. These images will remain in history. Relive the blessing here.
