Vine and Branches

Our Focus

To re-engage our faith communities by connecting to them in different ways. To inspire people in our faith community to comeback to church, to reach out to those not engaged and need faith, prayers, community and a connection to Christ, and to provide the appropriate outreach to meet the needs of the people in our communities to connect them to Christ.  As guided by the Archdiocese of Newark, the focus is on the full opening and extends through the entire year 2021/2022.

What is needed 

We are focusing on on 3 key assumptions through a number of teams:

(1) Reaching our base community and those beyond our base while emphasizing the "Spirit of Welcome"

(2) Engaging through digital platforms.  Communications in today's world is key and

(3) Encouraging creativity and out of the box thinking to meet the needs of our community.

We have 5 teams:   

  • Welcome Back Month Team

    • Five weekends: October 10th, 17th, 24th ,31st & November 7th

      • Create excitement and inspiration in the parish community and beyond.  Little Flower is fully re opened!

      • Plan celebrations and events

      • Welcome people to Mass AND to a community of faith

  • Re-Vitalization Team

    • Plan for re-vitalization beyond the welcome back period.

    • Keep the doors open and the spirit alive and flourishing.

  • Missionary Team

    • ​Form and send people out into the community as missionaries.

  • Digital Team

    • Assess, plan and implement a digital strategy for the parish.

  • Social Team

    • Create events for different demographic groups to establish or re-establish connections among them and nurture them in faith.
